What is the Ownership Review?
Ownership review is the process that takes place when you attempt to add
a domain into your NameDrive account and the system recognizes that the
domain already exists in another NameDrive account.
If you attempt to add a domain into your account and you receive a message stating, ‘Invalid entries, Domain name is already listed with NameDrive’, you must then select the ‘Ownership Review’ checkbox adjacent to the domain and click on the ‘Ownership Review’ button. This will send an ‘ownership review’ message to the NameDrive customer service team, who will then review the whois details.
Provided that the whois proves that you are in fact the rightful owner of the domain, the domain will be added to your account. , if the whois does not show sufficient details of you as the owner, we will send you an email requesting that you forward us some ownership proof. Examples of sufficient ownership proof are a screen grab of the domain(s) listed with your registrar or updated whois.

If you have requested with your registrar that your
details be withheld from public display we will be unable to carry out the
ownership review transfer without your assistance. As the whois details will only show privacy
protection details and will not display any details to prove that you are the
owner of the domain.
So, if you do submit domains for ownership review, and have privacy protection on the whois, please feel free to send us an email with a screen grab of the domain(s) listed with your registrar. This will certainly speed up the ownership review process and you will have the domain in your account sooner.

Why is my domain in someone else's account?
This can happen for several reasons. NameDrive has over 25,000 clients and has several
million domains in our database, so occasionally, domains which are listed in
old accounts and not deleted change their owners and are therefore still listed
in the old accounts. This can also happen if you purchase the domain
from another domainer who has not deleted it from his NameDrive account.
