What is the 'Custom For Sale Link URL'?
The ‘custom for sale link URL’ is something which we have offered on a manual basis for some time, and now we have made it available for everyone. When you set a domain for sale on the NameDrive system, the default destination for the ‘for sale link’ is a NameDrive page where the interested purchaser can contact you, the domain owner, directly via email.

By adding a ‘for sale link URL’ to your parked page, you can direct any sales inquiries to a specific sales page or aftermarket site.
How do I add a ‘Custom For Sale Link URL’ to my domain?
Firstly you need to select which domain(s) you wish to have listed for sale, you do this by first opening the folder which contains the domain(s), then click on the ‘Settings’ button located on the toolbar. Open the ‘Sales Settings’ page, by clicking on the ‘Sales Settings’ tab above. Select which domain(s) you wish to list for sale by changing the ‘Sale’ dropdown menu option to ‘yes’. You can also insert further sales details on this page, such as minimum bid & currency. Please note that setting a domain for “Contact” will add a link to the domain saying “Contact the owner of this domain”. This is not a sales link and cannot be customized.

To add a ‘Custom For Sale Link URL’ to your page you need to go to the ‘My Account’ page in your account and select the ‘User Options’. Click on ‘edit’ in the ‘Parking Options’ area and add the link URL, please use http format eg, http://www.mydomains.com. This can also be used to direct sales inquiries to a specific domain on your sales page, such as http://www.mydomains.com/specificdomain.com. The form for this is to enter [domain_name] in the link. So in this example, it would be http://www.mydomains.com/[domain_name].
What is the ‘Custom For Sale Link Text’?
The ‘Custom For Sale Link Text’ is simply the text which will appear on your parked page that links to your selected sales page or contact page. The current default text is, ‘Enquire about this domain’. If you do not add custom for sale text, the default text will remain.

Please note that the default for sale text has been translated into 16 languages, and that the custom text will only appear in the language you enter it in. If you have multiple language domains, we recommend leaving this blank to ensure that international viewers will understand the text.
How can I add ‘Custom For Sale Link Text’?
Go to the ‘Account options’ page in your account and under the ‘User Options’ click on ‘edit’ in the ‘Parking Options’ area and enter your for sale text in the ‘Custom For Sale Link Text’ field. Then click ‘Save Changes’ down at the bottom of the page. Please note that the text MUST be appropriate and only refer to purchasing the domain, and you are not permitted to use the word ‘click’ within the text.
What is the ‘Impressum Link’?
The impressum link has been created mainly for our German members and members that own .de domains. It is a legal requirement that all .de domains have an impressum showing who owns and runs the site. The ‘impressum link’ allows you to link to an outside page which acts as your impressum.
What is the ‘Impressum .de TLD’ function?
The impressum .de TLD function ensures that the impressum only shows on your .de domains.
How do I change my ‘Impressum’ settings?
Go to the ‘My Account’ page in your account and select the ‘User Options’. Click on ‘edit’ in the ‘Parking Options’ area and enter the link URL where your Impressum is located.
What is the ‘Catch all’ function?
The ‘Catch all’ option means that you catch all traffic to your domain, including sub domains and index pages. E.g. news.mydomain.com and mydomain.com/news. Some users have requested the option to turn this off so that the only traffic arriving on your domain is the traffic for www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com, any other traffic is dropped.
How can I change my ‘Catch all’ settings?
Go to the ‘My Account’ page in your account and select the ‘User Options’. Click on ‘edit’ in the ‘Parking Options’ area. To deactivate the ‘Catch all’ function select ‘No’ in the drop down menu, however, this option will almost certainly lead to a drop in traffic, so we suggest leaving it on “Yes”.
What is ‘Ad Provider RS’?
‘Ad Provider RS’ refers to what happens when someone makes a search on your domain. If someone searches for “cars” on the domain or you set the keyword “cars”, then our ad providerwill return some related searches (RS) to do with cars. There have been requests to turn these off, so we offer this option. If the Ad Provider RS are turned off, the standard, generic RS (Cheap Flights, Cars, DVDs etc) will be displayed. We recommend you leave the default settings as they are as the using the ad provider’s RS will lead to higher CTR. Please note that you can also remove the related searches entirely by selecting a NO RS template from the template dropdown.
How can I change my ‘Ad Provider RS’ settings?
Go to the ‘My Account’ page in your account and select the ‘User Options’. Click on ‘edit’ in the ‘Parking Options’ area. To deactivate the ‘Ad provider RS’ function select ‘No’ in the drop down menu.

What is the ‘User Searches’ function?
‘User Searches’ relates to the updating of your related searches depending on what users are searching for on the page. If someone comes to your page and searches for “Cars”, then this will appear as a related search the next time someone comes to your page. This can become difficult when people search for trademark terms on your generic pages, so you have the option to turn this off. Remember that you also have the option to switch off individual user searches at the bottom of the domain settings page.
How can I change my ‘User Searches’ settings?
Go to the ‘My Account’ page in your account and select the ‘User Options’. Click on ‘edit’ in the ‘Parking Options’ area. To deactivate the ‘Ad User Searches’ function select ‘No’ in the drop down menu.
